We have a 9mo old saint bernard named Casey. He is just over 100lbs at this point. We were hoping he would be bigger, but are satisfied with a slow and steady, healthier growth. He eats up to two bowls of food each night. His dad is 220lbs. With your experience, what is a normal weight at different ages? Or do you remember how much your dogs weighed at certain ages? Also, where can we find a leash that will hold up to 200lbs or more?

Just thought i'd let everyone know, JJ is doing very well. We had him fix recently it didn't really calm him down much, but i guess he's just really excited all the time. he'll be 12 months this weekend and he's about 160lbs. We can still see signs of his bad hips but it doesn't seem to both him. He loves to play tug of war, but some times he gets us when he's biting his toy. He got me good last week. LOL

Building Kennel Need Help

Hi I want to convert my back garage with cement floor into an indoor/outdoor run kennel.
Anyone know of any who can draw up something with an existing building already built?
I have it roofed and sided and poured a cement floor before thinking of making the building my kennel.
Looking for any advise. I have a Saint Bernard from SBRF

As many of you know, I had a litter of puppies that I had a hard time with. Many of us that breed, are some times going to have a difficult experience. We need a giant breed neonatal care book to help in these situations. A delay in care can be fatal to newborns. They can go sour fast and administering the proper care can be life saving. Now, not all cases are the same, but if we pull together and come up with a book that can help future litters, this might just be a big help to someone that...

Wanted to share about our upcoming All Breed Show. Show close next Wednesday - show was forced to be moved this year due to The Host Hotel Closing it's Doors - New Venue is Robert's Stadium (Which is really an Arena), Located in Evansville, Indiana instead of Owensboro KY.

Onofrio has listed the Changes to include local hotels, and directions to the Facility. Also noted on the Onofrio Site is that Proof of Rabies Vaccinations must accompany entries.

Every summer, when we have lightning storms, forest fires pop up. Last night and the night before we had some strong lightning and a large number of smaller fires popped up. I found a map showing all of the fires and put our location with a yellow x on it.

All morning, helicopters have been buzzing the house. The helicopters are used for fire extinguishing with huge water buckets attached to them. The closest fire is approximately 3 miles north from us, so far the winds have been...

Bath time

Yesterday was bath time for some of the dogs. The first one is Shadow Mtn Party Animal v Reema (Annie). She is almost 18 months old and this was her first bath. (NICE BEING A DOG). She took to it like a trooper. Now we have to train her on a leash and start taking her out.PS. The water comes out of spring and was really cold. Hence the kind of look of
discontent on Annie's face

I don't know why but our backyard has been invaded by ants this year. Been here 14 yrs and we've never had a problem like this. Any suggests on what to use to get ride of them which will be safe for the dogs?
